FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

Eclipse Therapy Group is not in-network with any insurance provider. We do not accept insurance because insurance providers require that a client be diagnosed with a mental health disorder in order to reimburse for services. The reasons people seek therapy do not always neatly fit into the criteria for a diagnosis. Additionally, without billing through insurance, no third party is required to know the details of why you are seeking treatment.

Often, clients are able to use their out-or-network health insurance benefits. Please check with your insurance provider to learn more about out-of-network coverage. We are happy to provide you with a detailed bill of services, including a diagnosis, for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

What are your rates?

John Armando: $160 - $190.

Sonja Spangler: $100 - $130.

Mark Weichelt: $130 - $160.

Our rates are competitive with other practices in the region. We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.

Do you offer teletherapy?

Yes! All of our providers are able to provide virtual therapy using a secure video platform. We were offering teletherapy even before the pandemic, and have found that treatment is just as effective while being far more convenient for many clients.

What happens in the initial session?

During your initial session we will learn more about you, and you will learn more about your therapist. This will inform and guide our recommendations and we will develop a treatment plan, followed by regularly scheduled sessions. Each person's situation is unique, but there is an underlying foundation to how we treat. We provide evidence-based therapy that is human. This is to say that our approach is supported by science and research, and it also reflects what we all need as humans: understanding, connection, empathy, curiosity, and non-judgement.

How long does each session last?

The initial session typically 90 to 120 minutes, and the following appointments are more often 60 minutes.
